Baby Bluebird Greyson
Greyson was so dreamy. He was as sleepy as he was handsome (very)
I don't think I'll ever grow tired of newborn photography.
Kennedy | 6 months
This girl!!!! She was the best as a newborn and I still
can't get enough of her.
So glad her Mom loves pictures as much as I do.
Baby Bluebird Ty
Another late but adorable post to share!
Ty was so dang handsome and a champ for his session.
How lucky am I to hang with these little squeaky toys all the time?!
Shout out to Ty's dad for his service protecting our country. It was neat being able to
incorporate that into the session.
Burke is ONE
The weather could have been MUCH kinder to us this session. I mean thunder
was a rollin and yet we managed to come up with
some pretty cute shots of Burke to celebrate his turning one!

Baby Bluebird Kaino
I was just pondering how wonderful if would be of me to blog EVERY session I shoot. I wish that I could.
With a four month old non-sleeping baby of my own, I'm lucky to edit at all these days!
Once in a while the stars align and I have a chance to share some goodness with you.
Kaino was SO handsome and good for me this newborn mini session. Enjoy!
Baby Bluebird Summer
This sweet little thing came to help me by modeling for a 1:1 mentoring session.
Mom knew she'd need more then a handful of images though and brought her back the next week
along with her gorgeous older sisters. I was so glad she did. All three are beautiful!

Need a budget friendly way to get better quality pictures of your newborn ??
If your like almost all the Mom's I've queried, If they have a tight budget, they'd rather have fewer, better images then
more , mediocre ones! This is why I offer MINI sessions as well as normal sessions for your new little birds. I want an option that's easy on your
newly emptied wallet ( kids are expensive! )
With Mini sessions, we focus on just baby and those close up more personal and posed bean bag type shots.
whether you want to play dress up or use no props at all, we'll make the most of your
beautiful baby in a short amount of time!

The B Family
I LOVE return clients so I was super happy to see this beautiful family again!
they are all so photogenic and natural . It was hot this night but the stars aligned and this session was just beautiful.

What a handsome boy Owen is! He had some amazing skin too
and just snoozed the session away. It was so fun to incorporate his dads hobby of flying into
our shoot too. Congrats you three!

Holy Smackeral this family was adorable!
Louie had some amazing hair and was content his whole session.
His older brother and sister couldn't have been any cuter too.
It's always a pleasure when those sibling shots go smoothly!

Sweet Xamantha was SO darling! I mean really….she's beautiful
I could have just kept taking her picture all day long but I guess a mini session will have to do.
The V family
I worked with this gorgeous group a couple years ago and
was THRILLED to meet with these spunky twins again.
They were a hoot and loved being in front of the camera
and lets face it….. they stole the whole show.

This little man was too cute. I just loved his scrunchy face!Congrats to his sweet little family.
Party of three
I met these rad people when they welcomed sweet little Mia into their family. She was so cute and perfect
for her newborn session. Not much has changed! It was pretty wicked hot and the poor Orchard has seen better days
but nothing can beat that sweet summer light and a beautiful family.
Why mentoring matters
One thing I wish I would have done when I first started my photography journey was to
INVEST IN MYSELF….I guess I just didn't know that well….I didn't know. I stumbled through some
pretty rough shoots and even worse pictures before I gradually learned ( by mistake )
I won't even mention how long it took before I knew what White Balance was.
I could have saved myself about two years and a lot of mediocre work by educating myself and
investing in my business from the get go. Not to mention skipping
that whole "charge $50 " point in my career where I was basically
making a dollar an hour ( Said Napoleon Dynamite style )
Sure you can teach yourself…..sure you can youtube how to do something and sure you
can take good pictures once in a while
Mine were usually on accident….
but eventually you'll outgrow your own knowledge, your camera and your ability to improve on your own.
It's true that you can't buy success….you can't hire me to make you fabulous. That's all on you.
However,
You can't paint the Mona Lisa with a box of crayons either.
a Mentors job is to hand you the paint brush and the tools you need to create the paintings/pictures you hoped for.

I feel humbled and blessed these days that I'm the educator and I LOVE doing it. I've met some pretty amazing women
all over the United States and when I bought my first DSLR ( at Costco woot ) I NEVER thought it would lead me here.

I had a visit from a past "Master of Fun Workshop" attendee who was ready for more hands on training and
she flew here last week to play!
we had our hands full with four beautiful newborns and I had to share what we were up too.
For those of you who have the desire to improve and take the next step forward , I'd suggest you
find someones work you love, whether they rock at weddings, seniors, babies whatever you want to specialize in
and invest in THEM and YOURSELF. Learn from them all you can and you'll be glad you did!
After alll…..if you do what you've always done..you'll get what you've always gotten.

Oh man, this little girl was TOO much cuteness to handle. She was so fun to work with!

and of course all the newborn goodness you'll ever need.
I've recently started collecting wardrobe for the cute boys in your life too!
take the guess work out of what you little ladies should wear and put that money towards
better pictures!
